Accessibility at Red Hill Candle Co

At Red Hill Candle Co our team is welcoming for all and are committed to providing spaces and experiences which can be enjoyed in comfort. Continue reading on to better understand the accessibility of our business and how we can assist you in planning your visit.

Parking

• An accessible car space to the right of our front door is available
• Alternatively free parking is available in our carpark along both the front and side of the building or in the street.
• Plenty of free street parking is available along Thomson Terrace suitable for larger vehicles

Toilets

• There is one accessible toilet on site with a handrail
• Our accessible toilet also has a baby change table available for use

Our Factory Retail Shop

• Access is to our shop and workshops is via a 3.3m wide roller door entrance (no steps or opening of doors required)
• There is ample space between retail shelving to fit motorised wheelchairs, scooters and prams. 
• Our scent tester table is 70cm high and is the best place to smell our candle fragrances and choose which you like best. 
• Some retail shelves may be too high to access but if required please ask a staff member for assistance and we will be happy to assist.

Scent Library 

This is our main space for hosting Scent Library 45minute Candle Fragrance Design experiences

• This is held on ground level and there are no steps to access this room
• There is a wide 110cm opening via a sliding barn door to access this room
• Tables within this room are able to be height adjusted as needed. Generally they are set to approximately 90cm high with bar stools, however with in minutes we can adjust these to be dining table height and provide dining chairs to sit on instead.
• We can use this room to host our longer 90minute workshops with advanced notice dependent on availability. Please contact us directly with regard to this by emailing hello@redhillcandleco.com.
• This room caters for a maximum of 18 people.

Scent Lab workshop room 

This is our main Candle Making Workshop room where we generally host our 90minute Candle Making Workshops. 

• There is one flight of stairs to access this room (see photos) and no lift.
• There is a wide 150cm opening via a sliding barn doors to access this room
• Tables within this room are able to be height adjusted as needed. Generally they are set to approximately 90cm high with bar stools, however with in minutes we can adjust these to be dining table height and provide dining chairs to sit on instead.
• This room caters for a maximum of 30 people.

Mezzanine space

• There is one flight of stairs to access this room (see photos) and no lift.
• Once up the flight of stairs there is an open mezzanine level with tables and chairs

Staircase (to upper level Mezzanine and Scent Lab)

• There is one flight of stairs to access this room with 17 steps in total
• The stair case has a hand rail on the right hand side
